Michi-no-Eki Assabu あっさぶ

Vegetables are the reason to stop at Assabu, built from local hiba wood on Route 227 and drawing more than 300,000 visitors a year. Assabu is said to be the birthplace of May Queen potatoes, and the expanded produce centre piles up those potatoes alongside other fresh local vegetables and processed goods, with shipping available.
