Michi-no-Eki Okhotsk Monbetsu オホーツク紋別
You can touch real drift ice at minus 20 degrees even in midsummer at Okhotsk Monbetsu, whose information centre is the Drift Ice Science Center in Monbetsu's Gariya marine zone. Exhibits and large-screen footage explain the ice that arrives in late January, while nearby stand the Okhotsk Tower, a drift-ice park and an artificial beach; parking is for 132 cars and just 2 large vehicles.
