Michi-no-Eki Shiretoko Rausu 知床・らうす
At the Rausu entrance to the Shiretoko crossing road, which closes from November to April, this Route 335 station in the fishing town of Rausu faces the Nemuro Strait and Kunashir Island, so close on clear days that its trees seem visible. The 1,661-meter Mt. Rausu rises behind it. Facilities are minimal, but parking for 90 cars and 5 large vehicles supports the view.
